Basic Drilling Techniques

 

Course Objectives:

 

This training course is designed to achieve safe, efficient & in due time operations. The course is aiming also to prevent lost time injuries, property damage & environmental accidents or at-least to control them at the lowest acceptable level.

 

Course Duration:

 

The course duration: it is five days training, three sessions a day & 90 minutes for every session?

 

Who may attend?

 

Drilling engineers, drilling supervisors, drillers, assistant drillers, Derrick men and service company’s engineers and their supervisors rather than the Rig geologist

 

Course Contents:

 

  •          Pre-Spud meeting.

  •          Pre-spud inspection, including general safety, drill floor, engines, compressors, mast, chemical mixing and storage area, mud pumps, mud tanks, remote choke panel, SCR room, sub base, trip tank.

  •          Daily safety and maintenance check, including Derrick inspection, General condition of working area, workers adherence to operating procedures, do something for safety {stop card } And review rig daily reports.

  •          Drill Stem Test DST and its safety procedure.
